Learn to Needlepoint with Beverly Kingsley
Learn decorative stitches on a bright colorful canvas of houses on a hillside.. Please bring scissors and a note pad to class.(*The canvas alone sells for $40.00 in the store).
(Prerequisite: Must know the basketweave and the continental stitch. If you do not know how to do these stitches, please schedule a private class with Beverly, before signing up for this class.

Rug Hooking with Jan Fraser
You will create your own unique 15 x 30 rug. supplies needed: Supplies for the class are $100, payment required prior to class, a 22" scroll frame is part of the supplies, if you have one you may use yours which will cut the cost of the supply fee.

NEW CLASS!! Mac and Me 2 Color Jacket with Mary Coffey
This is a fun and simple garter stitch jacket for either a child or an adult. We will sit and knit, and unravel any problems you may encounter. This is a relaxing winter class for the beginning knitter who wants to try a sweater. Supplies: Mac and Me pattern for the child or adult 2 Color Jacket, yarn and needles as suggested in pattern. Other worsted weight yarn will work for jacket, if you do not want to use 2 strands of sport weight alpaca.

Baby Surprise Jacket with Mary Coffey
Elizabeth Zimmermann’s classic garter stitch baby sweater designed in 1968. Several samples are on display at the hook and i. This class is for the advanced beginner. Supplies: About 400 yards of yarn of any weight (the heavier the yarn, the larger the sweater), 5 buttons and “The Opinionated Knitter” by Elizabeth Zimmermann.

Plain Socks on Two Circular Needles with Mary Coffey
In this beginning sock knitting class we will make a pair of socks on two circular needles from the cuff down to the toe. Students must be comfortable knitting. Supplies: We will be using 4, 24” circular needles in the size appropriate for your sock yarn. Come to class 30 minutes early, on the first night to get supplies.

Knitting Pure and Simple Top Down Pullover with Mary Coffey
We will be using the Knitting Pure and Simple pattern to knit a top down pullover for a baby or a toddler. This is a good class for an advanced beginner, or a beginner who wants a challenge. Supplies: Knitting Pure and Simple pattern 214 (baby) or 9730 (toddler) plus yarn and needles as recommended by pattern.

Beginner Smocking Class with Mary Coffey
Learn all the basic stitches of smocking and many tips that Betty has learned along the way. The kit contains a book, pre-pleated fabric, floss, needles, glass-head pins and a wonder marker. You can make a Basic Yoke dress in this class. The pattern and fabric will be an additional cost.

Learn all the basics of crochet. For those of you who knit you too should learn how to crochet. A lot of knitting patterns use crochet for edging and finishing your project. You will pick out a pattern during your second class.

Tuesday Night Sit and Knit with Dot Ruhlin and Mary Coffey
Come join in on the fun Tuesday nights between 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Beginners and advance stitchers welcomed. If you need a little help with your project or just want to be with nice people who love to knit, just like you, please join us. NOTE…If you want to learn how to knit, crochet, needlepoint or smock, we do not recommend the Sit and Knit. Please take one of our beginner classes.

Class fee $20.00 - for one hour.
Most beginner private lessons take 3 to 4 hours.

Private Lessons
We are very happy to teach one on one private lessons at your convenience. You can arrange for beginners or advance classes in Knitting, Crochet, Needlepoint, Smocking and Construction of Smocked Garments. The advanced lessons depend on what you are stitching. Lessons are usually 1 to 2 hour sessions.

Note: this does not include the Sit and Knit sessions.
